wendell & wild (2022), Netflix // executive assistant to the director; executive coordinator
I had the incredible privilege to be Henry Selick’s executive assistant on his latest stop-motion animated film for Netflix, Wendell & Wild. I managed Henry’s daily schedule which consisted of 18 meetings per day on average so that every department’s needs were met, the stage was being consistently fed, and the overall production was kept on schedule. I supported Henry in all duties on and off set, and was trusted with select creative decisions on the film. I attended all meetings with Henry for note taking and input, and was client-facing with our executive producers Win Rosenfeld of Monkeypaw Productions and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein of The Gotham Group.
I also directly supported our Line Producer Julie Ragland in managing her daily calendar, as well as coordinated VO recordings & previs asset tracking where needed. I saw the film through to release on Netflix coordinating all marketing promotion before continuing my role under The Gotham Group to oversee Henry’s award season tour of the film. I traveled with Henry to tastemaker screenings and film festivals throughout the United States and Canada and coordinated all award submissions for the film.
It was an honor to be so heavily involved in the making of Wendell & Wild, especially as we remained on set throughout the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown. We had a very special crew that felt like family and I am so proud of what we were able to accomplish.
